One of the coolest and on-trend tracks to drop during this summer’s sweltering heatwave – London’s red hot prospect EnnieLoud release urban-soul groove “In My Room”.
The video was filmed and directed by Welcome X. Post Production & FX by Welcome X – shot in Wood Green, London.
This ode to the band’s North London neighbourhood was mixed by Beau Vallis (Kelly Rowland, Pharrell), and is just released by Leave Music.
It’s got that uber-sassy Erykah Badu vibe blended with Massive Attack meets Portishead trip-hop sensibilities. Quite something and deffo whets the appetite for what’s next.

A love song to the multiculturalism and many-faceted lives playing out in the North London neighbourhood in which the band are based, EnnieLoud’s “In My Room” takes an appropriately diverse path to its beautiful realisation.
EnnieLoud employed producer Francesco Cataldo, and “In My Room” was mixed in the USA by Grammy-nominated songwriter and engineer Beau Vallis (Kelly Rowland, Pharrell Williams, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dog).
The video was directed and produced by Parisian artist and film-maker Welcome X, alias Ben Kitoko. It was shot on the district’s streets as well as the area’s arts hotel/social enterprise the Green Rooms Hotel.
The band aimed for a mini documentary:”The people, culture, traditions, faces, colours, contamination – and the life of an emerging band in the north of London. The concept is be where you want to be, and express your art.”
EnnieLoud is a trio of musical innovators, fronted by street-dancing singer/songwriter Cassandra, ably supported by Berlin producer and DJ Beeoff, alongside gifted multi-instrumentalist Ross.
The band co-wrote their previous single “My Faults” with Italian DJ Vincenzo Callea, subsequently remixed by Grammy award-winning producer Yoad Nevo (Goldfrapp, Sia, Moby).
It was released in Germany and Italy, where it made national radio playlists, and impacted across Europe from France to the UK, Greece and Russia. Its video won the ‘Best Video Clip’ award at the 2018 New York City International Films Infest Festival, and was a finalist at the Los Angeles CineFest 2018.
This new track and the superb accompanying video will put them firmly on the map as “ones most likely to breakthrough…” with the right wind behind them. Great job.
