50 Cent For Three UK Arena Shows

You’ll need no Bit Coin to grab tickets for US hip hop superstar 50 Cent’s Autumn UK shows announced today (April 9th 2018). Good old-fashioned GBP cash, credit or debit card will do it. If you are quick!

Only three venues gonna see Fiddy spittin’ bars in September, to mark 15 years since his classic smash hit debut album “Get Rich or Die Tryin’ ” was released, eventually certified six times Platinum.

  • Tuesday 18th September – Arena, Birmingham
  • Thursday 20th September – 02 Arena, London
  • Friday 21st September – Manchester Arena

Released in 2003, selling almost one million copies in the USA in the first two weeks, the album was produced by Dr Dre and Eminem, and made number one on the US Billboard chart and claimed second spot on the UK Chart.

Certified four times platinum for UK sales, hit singles from the album “In Da Club” and “21 Question” are still often requested cuts today.  “Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ ” was nominated for Best Rap Album at the Grammy Awards, and 50 cent was nominated for Best New Artist.

Rapper turned actor Curtis Jackson III aka 50 Cent, has starred in many films and TV shows, and is currently seen as Kanan in the hit US drama “Power” on American channel Starz. The first four seasons now showing on Netflix. Jackson is also executive producer of the show.

The 42-year-old New York-born star hit the headlines three years ago when he filed for bankruptcy, and was discharged by a Federal judge in 2017, some five years early, after he settled circa $22m (£17.7m) of debts.

In his original Chapter 11 bankruptcy claim, he cited debts of $36m and assets of less than $20m. But he paid off the five-year plan with $8.7m of his own money and $13.65m he received in a settlement of a malpractice lawsuit against attorneys.

He has sold more than 30 million albums in his career, and picked up a Grammy and 13 Billboard awards. His film and TV work and now this new tour, means he is far from broke, and looks set to make a big comeback to the music world; with rumours of a new album to drop later this year as follow-up to 2017’s “Best Of” compilation.

Maybe the long awaited “Street King Immortal” is actually going to get a release date? An album that has been completed for a few years now, and features many big name guests, but has never been released…
